Hamilton Vision Center is a medical eye practice, which means we can bill medical insurance for eye health visits, not just routine vision plans. Here is how coverage works and what to bring.
Eye Care Insurance for Centennial Residents
Medical vs. Vision Insurance Plans: What to Know
Vision plans usually cover a routine eye exam and glasses or contacts. Medical insurance, including Medicare, covers visits for eye health concerns like dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, infections, and injuries. Because we are a medical practice, we can bill the right one for your visit, and sometimes both apply. If you are not sure what you have, bring your medical and vision cards, and we will help sort it out.
| Reason for your visit | Usually starts with |
|---|---|
| Routine eye exam | Vision insurance |
| Glasses or contact lenses | Vision insurance |
| Dry eye | Medical insurance |
| Glaucoma | Medical insurance |
| Diabetic eye exam | Medical insurance |
| Eye infection or injury | Medical insurance |
